The Year 6 children spent a day working on African mosaics. The designs were taken from the children's multi-cultural project.

They created three mosaic sections: sleeping lion, plain tree and zebra stripes.

Working with Artist Mosaic Maker a group of adults created a large mosaic map to be displayed outside, directing visitors and residents to local amenities. As the project progressed community groups, education establishments and the public helped to create the finished artwork, which will be unveiled in July 2008.
